The heat and humidity today, combined with an unstable atmosphere allowed showers and thunderstorms to develop. As temperatures fall tonight, the storms will wind down but scattered showers will continue. Overnight lows will be in the mid-upper 60s tonight. Showers and storms are in the forecast again tomorrow as a cold front moves into the region. Temperatures will top out in the upper 70s. A couple of lingering showers are possible on Friday morning, otherwise look for increasing sunshine with highs in the upper 60s. High pressure builds in for the weekend. This means we will see plenty of sunshine Saturday and Sunday. Only a few hit-or-miss showers are possible Monday. Most of us will stay dry and warm for Memorial Day. Highs will climb into the low 70s Saturday and Sunday, the mid-70s Monday, the upper 70s Tuesday, then the low 80s Wednesday.
