    JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- A bicycle and pedestrian trail linking Johnson City and Elizabethton now has its own song.

    The Tweetsie Trail is being built on the abandoned ET&WNC rail line, formerly travelled by steam locomotives. The trains got the nickname "tweetsie" from local residents because of their shrill whistles.

    The Tri-Cities region has its share of holiday traditions, but one Easter event has gained legendary status in Carter County: the Peters Hollow Egg Fight. This year marks the 191st edition of the fight to see who has the strongest eggs. You would think after 190 years, the question of who had the hardest eggs would have been answered by now, but it hasn’t. Norman Peters has been egg fighting for 70 years, he says even his mother couldn’t remember hearing about an Easter without an egg fight....
