Christiansburg HS receives new baseball scoreboard from Shelor Motor Mile

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – There's a new nine-inning scoreboard in center field at Christiansburg High School.

Shelor Motor Mile's Growing The Future program helped fund the purchase and Roanoke-based Time Technologies installed the refurbished scoreboard.

The scoreboard is a refurbished version that was used in Calfee Park’s Minor League Baseball stadium for several years, according to Shelor Motor Mile.

“The Christiansburg High School Baseball Program along with The Christiansburg Baseball Booster Club would like to extend a huge thanks to the Shelor Motor Mile for their major contribution on the purchase of our new scoreboard.  Without their help this would not have been possible.  This scoreboard has a history about it as well with this full nine-inning scoreboard being the same one that was used at Calfee Park with the Pulaski Yankees,” said head baseball coach Dale Nelson in a news release.

The Christiansburg High School’s Booster Club also contributed to the purchase of the scoreboard, valued at about $17,000.
