    State police are investigating a deadly crash in Botetourt County.Officers sayit happened around 3:30 p.m. on Route 220.Investigators say 88-year-old Alfred Hicks of Hot Springs was heading north when he tried to pass two vehicles.Hicks then hit a van that was driving south head-on and died at the scene.Police say he was not wearing a seat belt.
