ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - A 6-year-old was injured after being hit by a car on Monday at the 800 block of Day Avenue SW .
Roanoke Police said the child was hit at 12:21 p.m.after running across the street between two parked cars.

The child was conscious when officers arrived and was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment,
The driver of the vehicle stopped, according to police. Evidence indicates the driver was not speeding and did not see the child because the child crossed the street between the parked vehicles.
No charges have been filed at this time and police are still investigating.
