The Grayson County Sheriff's Office is searching for 28-year-old David Alan Rutherford, of Fries, for multiple felony charges.

Rutherford and Daniels picked up a man near the Fries Dollar General on Monday night and took the him against his will to a secluded site where Rutherford demanded the victim's wallet and other valuables at gunpoint, according to the sheriff's office.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the two were traveling in a blue 2007 Ford Mustang registered to Daniels.

On Tuesday, November 29, at about 3 p.m., the Mustang was spotted at a residence in Fries and Daniels was taken into custody without incident. Warrants for Abduction by Force and Robbery were served and she was committed to the New River Valley Regional Jail with no bond.

Rutherford remains on the loose and is wanted for armed robbery, abduction by force, possession of a firearm by a felon, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is believed to be hiding with friends or family in the Fries area.

Sheriff Richard Vaughan is cautioning residents to be aware of their surroundings and to call 911 if the suspect is spotted.

Vaughan has authorized a $500 reward for information leading to Rutherford's arrest.
