FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – A Rocky Mount man was arrested after an undercover operation, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office said.
Christopher Gay, 49, was arrested Friday by members of the Special Investigations Unit of the Sheriff's Office.

An undercover officer had arranged to purchase methamphetamine from Gay at a Rocky Mount convenience store. The Sheriff's Office said Gay arrived at the store and was then arrested on outstanding warrants.
Gay was found in possession of methamphetamine intended for sale to the undercover officer, the Sheriff's Office said. Gay was charged with two felony counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
The Sheriff's Office said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
