Round Town: Christmas parades and markets

(WSLS 10) - Kick off the holiday season at the Grandin Road Holiday Children's Parade. Join hundreds of other families who will like the streets watching bands and community groups march. The parade begins at 11 a.m.

Celebrate a Red, White and Blue Christmas at the annual Martinsville-Henry County Christmas Parade. Uptown Martinsville will be filled with patriotic and Christmas colors in a salute to men and women in uniform. The parade kicks off at 5 p.m. in Uptown Martinsville.

Head to the Danville Community Market for the Holiday Bazaar. More than 100 vendors will be there selling baked goods, crafts, wine and more. It's Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Bassett High School Band Boosters holds its annual fall craft show on Saturday. More than 140 vendors will set up, displaying a variety of products. Admission is $2. It's Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the school.

Wytheville Community College holds its monthly Bluegrass and Old Time Jamboree on Saturday, featuring The Country Boys and The Slate Mountain Ramblers. It's Saturday starting at 7 p.m.
