SALEM, Va. – The driver in a police chase that ended in a crash on Electric Road has died.
Police say the driver, 31-year-old Brad Beasley, died Saturday at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The crash happened August 1.

Another person was hurt in the rush hour crash. There's no word on that person's condition.
An officer attempted to pull over a red sedan on Peters Creek Road for speeding; however, police say the driver didn't stop, and instead, led police on a chase that went into Salem.
Police are still investigating.
