Fire in Danville destroys home, displaces three

Crews respond to house fire in Danville

DANVILLE – A fire in Danville destroyed a home, leaving three people displaced.

The Danville Fire Department responded to the fire at 710 Dame Street at 11:57 p.m. Sunday night.

Fire crews did not find anyone inside the home and said all occupant were accounted for outside. 

The fire department said Danville Police Department along with the Danville Life Saving Crew provided support and the fire was under control at 12:17 a.m. 

The home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage and a total of three occupants were displaced and assisted by the Red Cross with temporary housing. 

No injuries were reported on the scene and the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
