Kids from the West End Center walk to Grandin to see a movie, but today's walk is different. After the attack in Dallas and the shootings leading up to the ambush, leaders at the center wanted to respond in a positive way. They invited police officers to join the kids for this morning's walk.

"I really want the kids to know and understand that one incident shouldn't spoil or change their mind on what's going on in the world," says McKinley Forrest. "There's really great people out here that still care about them."

Leaders at the West End Center believe this is an event that will benefit the children and the community. The walk begins at 9:30 a.m.
