Lean Cuisine frozen chicken dinners recalled

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announces that Stouffer’s Lean Cuisine, manufactured by Nestlé, is recalling about 879,565 pounds of frozen chicken meals.
There is a concern that the meals may contain foreign materials. The company got complaints of small pieces of hard plastic. There is one report of injury.
The Lean Cuisine meals included in the recall are:
- 9.5 oz package: “Lean Cuisine Pesto Chicken with Bow-tie Pasta” with a use-by date of May 2010
- 10.5 oz package: “Lean Cuisine Chicken Mediterranean” with a use-by date of Sep 2010, Oct 2010, or Nov 2010
- 12.5 oz package: “Lean Cuisine Chicken Tuscan” with a use-by date of Sep 2009, Oct 2009, Nov 2009
