No SWVA Starbucks to close

Starbucks’ massive store closing announcement will not directly impact Southwest and Central Virginia.

In a news release on the company’s website this morning, Friday July 18th, Starbucks’ says it plans to close five underperforming stores in Virginia.

They are:

  • Spotsylvania Towne Centre in Fredericksburg
  • Madison Crescent in Gainesville
  • The Power Plant in Hampton
  • Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News
  • Stonewall Plaza in Winchester

The closings are part of 600 stores that Starbucks plans to close as it struggles to regain performance.
