TIVO to roll out HD recorder with DirectTV

TIVO is planning to roll out a new High Definition digital video recorder in conjuction with DirectTV.
The two companies began working together in 2000 when DirectTV began offering DVR’s with TIVO as the vendor.
Since then, DirectTV has signed a deal with about DVR vendor for basic service.
The new TIVO HD-DVR will be offered as an addition option.
