What the Dead Have to Say: Bring Art to Life
The Art Museum of Western Virginia and Mill Mountain Theater’s special event to benefit the rescue mission
Three performances on Saturday, May 10: 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
May 18th rain date
Guests will be guided through the Art Museum to watch the artwork come to life… then be shuttled to the oldest cemetery in Roanoke (next to the Rescue Mission) where the “dead” will come to life to tell their tale
TIckets available through the Mill Mountain Theater office for $10

Franklin County Family YMCA Fitness Trail in Rocky Mount
Take your dog for a walk and help raise money for the animals at the Humane Society at the same time
Walkers can pick up sponsor sheets at the Humane Society’s Planned Pethood Clinic
Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the Pooch Parade begins at 10 a.m.
Prizes will be awarded at 11 a.m.
