About 800 people took advantage of the Boomers & Beyond Expo at the Roanoke Civic Center Tuesday from 100:00am - 2:00pm.
There were 120 different booths for people to visit. The event is for Baby Boomers and for people who are 50 plus. You could find a little bit of everything to help you prepare for the future.
Kathy Boyd Blackwell organized the event and says, “As a nursing home administrator, I found that people often didn’t know what services were available until they were in a crisis mode. They can come out here and plan their retirement or if they are living their retirement we go from health and wellness to financial planners…to attorneys to health care.“
This was the seventh year for the Boomers and Beyond Expo. It’s always held the second Tuesday in September.
