Carilion Clinic absorbs two more local medical businesses.
A news release from Carilion says the Center for Advanced Imaging (CIA) on Franklin Road, and the Center for Surgical Excellence (CSE) on Rosalind Avenue have agrees to become part of their organization.
The Center for Advanced Imaging provides Open MRI, CT scanning, advanced ultrasound, pain management therapies and digital x-ray. The Center for Surgical Excellence provides outpatient services such as colonoscopies, biopsies and Vertebroplasty (a procedure for treating back pain), according to the news release.
“Our shared goals of clinical excellence, quality improvement, patient-centered care, service and accountability led us to this point,“ said Martin Hellkamp, President of CAI and CSE, in the news release. “We expect a smooth transition for our physicians and patients.“
“We’re pleased with this opportunity to add convenient, outpatient imaging and endoscopy services to Carilion Clinic’s continuum of care,“ said Nancy Agee, Chief Operating Officer for Carilion Clinic, in the news release.
Carilion and the outpatient clinics say patients can expect the same quality, service, and prices.
