With news of Tiger Woods being off the links for months because he will need surgery to fix ligaments in his knee… the thought, “it can happen to anyone” comes to mind.  I am not even a huge golf fan but I do like to watch Tiger tear up the links… he is an amazing athlete.. I was just telling my photographer today he is the Michael Jordan of golf… I know I am not the only one to make this reference but in my generation, Michael Jordan was “superman” on the basketball court and Tiger is as super human as “spiderman” on the golf course… enough with the comic book references but my point is that when I see what the human body and mind are able of accomplishing at the highest level I am in awe…

Seeing Tiger grimace as walked those 91 holes was tough… but watching him overcome that pain and seeing the sheer joy on his face as he held his daughter afterward was encouraging and amazing…

I have talked with several local orthopedic surgeons about ACL injuries and the recovery involved… for those of you who would like to avoid surgery at all costs the fact is that if you want to go back to being as active as you were before the ACL tear… you have to have surgery and you have to go through the rehab afterward…

Perhaps the rest the Tiger will be forced to take because of his injury will be therapeutic in more ways than one… I was going to say it might re-energize him but really could he be any better at what he does?
