Luckie doesn’t rush in the rain

We had a story earlier about how some local dogs love going out to play in the water… as Jay was reading it I was thinking… not my little one…today as I was getting ready to leave the house to go interview Kris Olson our returning Olympic judge I had one last thing to do… take Luckie out… I kept waiting for the rain to let up just a little bit but it started to rain harder and harder… so I hooked him up got out my umbrella and out we went… at this point you would think he might find a spot close to the house to take care of his business…. ooooohhhh nooooo - like always we still had to walk all the way down to the end of the driveway to a little patch of sea oats that he likes to call his favorite marker…
Okay… so we get that taken care of then we have to go in the house… remove the wet harness… dry off the paws… dry off the soaked hardwood floors… make sure he gets a goodie and then try to get the car out of the driveway to be on my way… it is a process… now I know in comparison to having a child or many other things this is a very small delay… I am not complaining but it was comical… I laughed outloud because when we got back in the house like a dog’s one track mind works… he just looked at me like “Where’s my treat?“
