Plantings are coming along

Of the bulbs and seeds I planted in the early spring… most of them are great but some are not what I hoped they would be…I bought one Dahlia bulb and the bulb itself was funny looking… I also had to mark the place where I planted it so I would not pull it up mistaking it for a weed… but the photo you see here doesn’t do the blooms on it justice… they are absolutely beautiful!

The Morning Glories are overrunning everything… there is no where left for them to go… I am thinking about just cutting them back but I don’t know how that will affect them…

I am a little disappointed in the Zinnias… I thought the blooms would be bigger… the stems are so crooked they don’t look right in the pots I placed them in… in retrospect I should just planted them all in a large flower bed…

But,  I love looking around at our growing collection of flowers, plants and shrubs… hope your garden or flowers are bringing you smiles this summer…
