I am falling down on my blogging job… it has become one of my favorite creative outlets…. last week I got sick on Thursday and was out on Friday and this week is already flying by faster than the sledders we saw in earlier news casts… this photos is from a weekend drive from the weekend… I call it “patchy sun”  on Saturday it was so dark where we were but in the distance you could see bright patches in the mountains…

Who knows where I got the stomach bug from… I wash my hands… I use the little wipes at the grocery story to wipe off the cart handle… I eat healthy and exercise and still I got sick!!! I’ll just keep doing that and hope I don’t get any more illnesses… I have got to get a flu shot… I am going to call to make an appointment before the end of the week… I also need to make an eye doctor appointment and there is something else I am forgetting… it is too hard to keep up with that stuff this time of year… we are all looking for gifts for loved ones… planning holiday meals… and just trying to stay caught up…

I am working on a special report for Thursday about how prepared Virginia is in the event of a Pandemic Flu.  We were in a secure location last week taking video and doing interviews… it is amazing the amount of time, money and effort that has been dedicated to planning for the possibility of a catastrophic disease outbreak.  It is really interesting and opened my eyes to an issue that has fallen off the radar a little bit for many.

Great blog. I hope you also cover business preparedness in your report. There’s some great material out there.

For free references, resources and to join their free pandemic preparedness eCourse certification program, go to Bird Flu Manual Online ( http://www.birdflu-manual.com ) or, if you need more comprehensive tutorials, tools and templates, consider Bird Flu D-I-Y eManual for your pandemic planning ( http://www.birdflu-manual.com/pandemic-planning.htm ).
