Whether it is a backyard barbecue or a high school football tailgate… there is always plenty of food and fun at the events… here at the station we take turns going live from the events and tomorrow night I will be in Stuart at Patrick County High School where Patrick County will take on Lord Botetourt High School.
As I have been making phone calls to the different schools to iron out details for the news casts I got a little sentimental… while I have no desire to go through my teenage years again… I do remember how much fun it was to sport your school colors and cheer for your favorite player.. high school football games are some of my fondest memories from that time in my life… road trips.. hot chocolate.. cheers and chants… good friends and good times.. then you graduate and realize life is much more complicated than you could ever imagine..
