I know I write a lot about my dog Luckie… but he is so darn cute sometimes I just can’t help it… the weekend was nice and a good mix of work and fun… on the work side… Matt can actually fit his Jeep in the garage again…
When we had the hardwood floors put down the old furniture went out in the garage and just stayed there… when I say old… I mean old… the couch was wired together in some parts (Matt’s aunt had given it to him many years ago)... an old over-sized chair of mine was also on it’s last leg (almost literally) even still it is hard to just throw things like this out… Good Will didn’t want the sofa and chair but they took an old entertainment center we also needed to get rid of…
Anyway… as we were loading up the old sofa and couch… I stood in the garage and talked out loud about possible uses for this old chair… when I pulled the seat cushion off… it dawned on me that it looked like one of those giant dog beds I see at the pet store… Luckie isn’t a big dog but I decided he might enjoy it… so the cushion stayed… and everything else went…
The first night I put it in the living room next to his thinner flimsy dog bed… he chose the old bed… I contemplated putting him up on the new one but he looked so comfy… if I was sleeping soundly I wouldn’t want someone waking me up just so they could move me to a “more comfortable” bed.. if I was sleeping… clearly I was plenty comfortable right?
Last night.. in typical cute Luckie dog fashion after a brief moment on the smaller bed… on his own.. he crawled up on the cushion… dug around a little then flopped out… as you can see from the picture he is enjoying his new throne and looking at me like his “mom” is a crazy cell phone picture snapping phenomenon…
Other than cleaning out the garage… we watched the Hokies pull out a win against UNC… and saw the movie Burn After Reading… if you have seen it I would be interested in your opinion of it…
