My husband and I recently returned from a beach vacation… it was fun… relaxing… and just a good time to hang out with my best friend… we had a great time eating some fresh seafood… we got to play in the ocean and ride the waves and just take time to read or sit in silence as the constant wind next to the ocean lulled us into a light slumber or just calmed our minds…

While we enjoyed the trip and it helped us get re-charged for the stresses of daily life… I have to say like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz…“There’s no place like home…“  I missed the mountains… the sweet people… the familiar feeling of sleeping in my own bed… as I went for a run on Sunday mid-morning I looked at our surroundings with fresh eyes… sometimes you don’t know what you have until it is gone..(I know that is corny… but that’s me)

While we will vacation at the beach again sometime… our next vacation has been dubbed by my co-anchor Jay… a “stay-cation” because we will likely be spending it at home…

If you have vacation plans or you are still unpacking and doing laundry like me - I hope it is or was a great time for you and your family.

I’m not sure exactly where this question should be directed so please forgive me if this is being submitted in the wrong place…

I live in Pulaski Co and own a motorcycle.  There are laws regarding the use a helmet and requirements for tags and insurance.  Lately due to escalting gas prices I have noticed a lot of scooters on the road.  90% of these vehicles do not have tags and I have yet to see any of the drivers wearing helmets.  I was wondering if this is legal and I’m sure it is not safe. I am beginning to worry that it won’t be long before there is a news story about some minor being killed while driving a scooter.  I also wonder why this does not seem as if it is being addressed by the local law enforcement.  I think it would be a public service to make people aware of the legal and safety requirements necessary to ride such a motorized vehicle on public roads.

Thank you for your time.
