Here’s a best shot you don’t see too often around here.
A television engineer for Blue Ridge PBS had a close encounter with a black bear Tuesday, July 15th on Poor Mountain.
Terry Surface spotted the bear after it had been hanging around the WBRA tower.
In this shot the bear is just below the Channel 27 transmitter. We guess the bear was “Fox” hunting!
