Teens are taking on some tough issues. A big donation could make what they’re doing easier.
Family Service of the Roanoke Valley was presented a $25,000 check by State Farm Insurance.
The money is for Project Arriba.
Roanoke City High School students complete leadership training to help their peers stay off drugs and alcohol and avoid getting pregnant.
The money will also pay for a tutoring program for children learning English at Westside Elementary and a book and school supply drive for refugee and immigrant children.
