A car accident leaves one man dead.
It happened just before 2 a.m. this morning.
Police say 22 year-old Dante Wahls from Roanoke was driving on Route 613 North of 799 in Franklin County when he ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
Wahls was a manager at the Buffalo Wild Wings by Tanglewood Mall.
After hearing the news, the Lynchburg store sent a card and flowers.
Vice President Mark Puckett tells us Wahls death is hitting everyone hard and that some employees were too upset to come to work. “He was a great guy, outgoing, never met a stranger… I coached him in little league basketball for Cave Spring rec department and he was always an outgoing guy. You asked him to do something and it got done.“
Police say Wahls was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is still under investigation.
