Clifton Forge Town Police are looking for a man who they believe abducted, robbed, and assaulted a woman on Friday, September 26th.
Police Chief Barry Balser tells us he was the first to arrive on the scene, after the woman called 911. Chief Balser says the woman was driving through town on her lunch break, to make a deposit at the bank.
Balser says the woman stopped at a light at the intersection of Main St. and Commercial Avenue, where the suspect jumped in her car on the passenger side.
According to the Chief, the robber forced the woman to drive to a remote area, where he robbed her and punched her in the face. Officers found a bank deposit envelope they believe the robber took. It’s been sent to the state crime lab for evidence testing. Balser says investigators were also able to take fingerprints from the woman’s car door.
Police released this description of the suspect:
White male
Mid to late 20s
Light hair
5’10”
180-220 lbs
Tattoo of star or tear next to left eye
Wearing dark jeans and gray hoodie
