Vendors at the City Market Building are back in business after getting their licenses re-instated. Two weeks ago, the building was shut down after health inspectors found mice inside. After a formal inspection on Friday, the official word was given that the food court would re-open.
On Saturday, customers came inside to find shiny floors and new furniture. One customer said he planned to come back the first day it opened.
“We’re delighted that they’re back open. Everything looks wonderful and clean, and the food here is excellent. My kids love it. We try to come every weekend and I try to come a couple times during the week,“ said Mark Cathey.
City officials tell us the building will be inspected in two weeks, then once a month for six months.
