Gas prices set records in Roanoke, Virginia for 5th straight day
Around the Commonwealth, only one region did not see an increase in their average gas price.

New record pain at the pump for the fifth day in a row for our area, and Virginia.
According to AAA Mid-Atlantic, the Roanoke region’s average price for a gallon of regular unleaded increased a penny overnight. We’re now at $3.44 per gallon.
Virginia’s average gas price also rose a penny, to $3.48.
The national average jumped two cents to $3.58, also a new record.
Elsewhere around the Commonwealth, only one region did not see an increase in their average gas price.
Richmond’s price increased by two cents to $3.54, a new record. Norfolk’s price inched up a penny to $3.36, a new record, and the cheapest overall average in Virginia.
The only region that did not go up, Charlottesville. That price held steady at $3.49.
