A man hit a column outside a local restaurant and then drove away.
It happened around 6:15 p.m. in front of Southwest Plaza’s Famous Anthony’s.
Famous Anthony’s Manager D.J. Miner says a 4-door Saturn hit the cement column after speeding through the parking lot, pushing customers out of the way.
Miner says he heard a crash from inside and then saw what happened.
He says the driver seemed distraught, talked to him briefly and then got back in his car and drove away, leaving his license plate behind.
No one was hurt during the incident.
