8:35 Update: All Lanes Of I-81 Now Open

8:35 p.m. UPDATE: V-DOT says all lanes of southbound Intersate 81 are now opened in Montgomery County near mile marker 124.

7:30 p.m.: V-DOT says that part Interstate 81 south in Montgomery County is closed because of a tractor trailer accident.

The right lane from mile marker 127 to 124, that’s about 10 miles south of Salem is closed. The left lane is now open.

V-DOT says the right lane is expect to be closed as crews continue to clear the tractor trailer so expect delays. The back up is about six miles, to mile marker 131.
