Local student wins Congressional Art Contest

A high school student from our area gets a big honor, his painting will be hung in the U.S. Capital.
Nick Weirup will be a junior at Lord Botetourt in the fall. He painted a water color called “The Girl Behind The Barn Door”. Congressman Bob Goodlatte selected the painting to represent the 6th District in the national art exhibit at the Capital in Washington, D.C.
