Salem Police say 74-year-old James Haley is charged with multiple counts in connection with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl

Salem Police arrest a man in connection with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl.
Officers charged 74-year-old James Haley with:
- Forcible sodomy - 2 counts
- Aggravated sexual battery - 1 count
- Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
Investigators say the teenager was sexually assaulted twice by Haley during this month. Police say Haley took out a gun prior to one attack.
Officers arrested Haley on Thursday, November 20th. Haley is being held at the Roanoke County-Salem Jail without bond.
