"Something usually this big doesn't come to Lynchburg," says Wendy Meese, Walking Dead fan. "So we were excited."

About a thousand fans are expected to show up including several actors from the show.

The organizers, The Hollywood Billboard, is actually based in the Hill City.

Dan Mcginnis started the company last year wanting to bring stars and fans together in our area.

"The Comicon all those types of events stay on the west," says Mcginnis. "The actor talent pool is there, but the rest of the country likes to see those kinds of shows too."

The Hollywood Billboard also set up the first fan convention with the Walton Family which sold out. Mcginnis said he's been able to get celebrities by previously working as a freelance entertainment writer.

It was how he got actors, like Noel G., from The Walking Dead.

"I love my fans," says Noel G. "Whenever I get a chance to come out to any convention to say what's up I'm for it."

He also gets to share with his fans what it was like acting on the show.

"It was cool working on The Walking Dead," says Noel G. "I'm in the middle of downtown Atlanta, Georgia and they shut down everything. I'm like in a ghost town. It was cool. I had a lot of fun."

Another actor, Neil Brown, Jr. worked with Noel G. during season one and said it's been a surprise to see how many people love the show.

"I was a big fan of zombie movies, but no I had no idea it was going to be as big as it is and the fans are great and everyone involved with it," says Brown, Jr.

Tickets are still available.
