American Cancer Society fundraiser
is a night to celebrate survivors of all cancers and raise money for research.
We introduce you to our first model Maci Winebarger, a little girl who has been through so much in just 10 years.
Maci's mom and dad started noticing a difference in their daughter's behavior when she was six. Doctors found a tumor on the end of her brain stem, so she has to re-learn how to walk and talk.
"She doesn't give up, she works hard. She had therapies in school, she has therapies outside of school and pretty much every day she's working," explained Shari Winebarger, Maci's mom.
Cure by Design is at The Hotel Roanoke Friday, Sept. 26. Tickets are $125 each or you can buy a table of 10 for $2,000.
