No Roanoke County circuit court trial date has been set for Jeff Young.
Roanoke County commonwealth’s attorney Randy Leach said he hopes to have Young in court for an arraignment sometime next week.
Young is still awaiting a trial date for separate charges in Floyd County.
Young is charged with malicious wounding and several other crimes in connection to hitting a woman with a car.
Police said he then beat the woman with a stick.
Right now, the court and attorneys in that case are trying to figure out if Young can use an insanity defense.
