Roanoke Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital. Police say a man was shot while he was sitting inside a parked car.

Roanoke Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.
It happened just before 5:00 p.m. in the 2800 block of Salem Turnpike.
Roanoke City Police say a man was shot while he was sitting inside a parked car. He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are not releasing his name at this point.
Police say it is not clear if the man was the driver or passenger in the car, or how many people were in the car when they shooting happened.
No arrests have been made.
