Roads closed for railroad work in Roanoke

Roads closed near Roanoke Memorial Hospital because of railroad work.

If you drive near or to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, there are some road closures you need to know about.

The railroad crossing on Albermarle Avenue, east of Williamson Road, will be closed at 8:00 AM on Monday, May 5, 2008 until 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 6, 2008.

The railroad crossing on Old Jefferson, just north of the Riverwalk Garage, will be closed Wednesday at 8:00 AM on May 7, 2008 until 4:00 PM Thursday, May 8, 2008. Traffic going to Riverwalk Parking Garage or HoneyTree Early Learning Center will have to enter onto Old Jefferson off of Belleview.

Norfolk Southern will be working on the tracks.
