A Roanoke County woman charged with stealing from several churches, is found guilty.
A Roanoke Co. jury convicted Lola rowe on all seven charges of embezzlement that she faced this afternoon. Rowe will be sentenced in July.
Roanoke County police say Rowe stole close to $50,000 between 2003 and 2006 from the Catawba United Methodist Church. Rowe was the treasurer of the church.
WSLS searched court records, and discovered that Rowe has a prior record of embezzlement. She pleaded guilty to embezzlement back in January of 1992, and was sentenced to five years in prison with all but 30 days suspended.
