Roanoke Incident Management Team to head to Louisiana

Roanoke Fire-EMS is sending a six member team to Cameron Parish, Louisiana to help with the recovery effects following Hurricane Ike.
The Department says the team is made up of City Fire-EMS members, police officers, and the Special Projects Manager from the Western Virginia Water Authority.
The team will be leaving Roanoke Friday morning and will be deployed for two weeks.
They will be coordinating with local emergecy personnel on damage assessments, debris management, water and sewer utility restoration, as well as overall restoration of public safety capabilities.
