Around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Roanoke City Police Captain Chris Perkins tells 10 On Your Side there is a report Molicia could be with a 14 year old boy.

Perkins says the 10 year old was not located after an earlier search of the Williamson Road area.  Police combed the area after a report Molicia was walking with a male on Williamson near Hershberger Road.

While two Child in Missing Alerts have been issued, there has not been an Amber Alert.  That’s because there is no proof Molicia has been abducted.  Perkins says there are ready and have approval from Virginia State Police to issue an Amber Alert immediately if they receive any information indicating an abduction.

Officers searched wooded areas and fields on horseback.  A bloodhound picked up Molicia’s scent only in expected areas like her school, the playground and at friends’ homes.

Roanoke Police have been offered use of a State Police helicopter, but Perkins says there are too many leaves on the trees to see anything from above that they can’t already see on the ground.

Police checked Molicia’s MySpace page.  Her last login was before the last time someone saw her.  Police did not find anything on the page that would indicate she’s with someone she met online.

Perkins says Molicia does not have any known medical issues.

At the 911 dispatch center, there is one dispatcher assigned just to this case.

There are 50 officers and recruits going door to door in a 25 block radius with a picture of Molicia.  They are using a bloodhound to search for her, as well as the horse patrol.

So far, no indication of an abduction, but police can’t rule it out.

At 5:00 p.m., officers sent out another “Child Missing alert,“ this one city wide and in parts of the county.

Police interviewed students at her school, as well as her friends outside school.

Molicia does have a MySpace page.  Police say the last log on was Monday, before Molicia went missing.  We’re told Molicia does not have a history of running away.
