Vandalized church plans Sunday service

Glass installers helped repair Bedford County’s St. John Baptist Church

  A vandalized church will open its doors for Sunday services, according to several church members.

  Vandals hit St. John Baptist Church in Forest sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning, according to the Bedford County sheriff’s office.

  The suspects through paint cans and bricks through two decade old stained glass windows.

  The vandals also spray painted graffiti on the back of the building.

  “It’s just a nonsensical act,“ said church deacon Clarence Brown.  “A demonic act of malicious vandalism.“

  Bedford County sheriff’s office Capt. Mike Miller said deputies want catch these vandals very badly.
