We’re learning more about a local man accused of holding a teenage shopper at knifepoint inside Valley View Mall.
As we told you Monday, September 29, 32-year-old Ryan Sink of Roanoke was arrested and charged with several felonies after the incident at the Abercrombie and Fitch store on Sunday.
Tuesday afternoon, Ten On Your Side talked to Sink’s wife, who defended her husband, flat out saying he didn’t do it.
She says Sink doesn’t carry a knife and if anything did happen with a teenager she feels it was consensual.
“He’s of average size, average height, maybe it was the wrong guy, he has a record, it’s very easy to say ‘hey he did it’, but I don’t believe that’s true at all,” said Jami Sink, suspect’s wife.
That record she’s talking about is an incident that happened in 2006, where Sink was charged and plead guilty to sexual battery.
He served 6 months in jail as part of plea.
