Woman found in ditch

Police tell us the woman is so badly hurt she has not been able to tell officers if the driver stopped to let her out of the SUV, if she jumped out or if she was pushed.

Local police find a woman in a ditch.

It happened on Bent Mountain Road around 8:30 Saturday night.

Roanoke County Police says the 24 year old woman from Floyd County had been a passenger in a Jeep Liberty with another person.

Police tell us the woman is so badly hurt she has not been able to tell officers if the driver stopped to let her out of the SUV, if she jumped out or if she was pushed.

The woman was taken to the hospital.

Police say they will continue to investigate.
