When he arrived in Roanoke, many following the Republican race wondered why is Mike Huckabee even here?
“Didn’t somebody tell you that this race is already over?“, Huckabee asks the crowd.
“ NO!!!!“, the crowd responds.
“Somebody forgot to tell me too.“, says Huckabee.

And you can’t tell Huckabee, who trails John McCain by nearly 500 delegates, to go home.
“Math or not.  He has not done it yet. It really disenfranchises the voters of any state that’s yet to vote.“, says Huckabees.  “I’d be pretty unhappy if someone said game over don’t vote.“

So it’s game on at the last stop before the polls open.  In a news conference, Huckabee tells us his message to the standing room only crowd at the O. Winston Link Museum is the same one that’s working for him anywhere across Virgnia or America.

“I try to hit the same themes that I think are the key to my campaign.  The Fair Tax.  The issue of sanctity of live.  The importance of reviving this country’s spirit. Talking about our strong national defense.  Those are the things I talk about pretty much everywhere regardless of where I am.“, says Huckabee.

“I like Mike! I like Mike! I like Mike!“, chants the crowd.

And Huckabee would like their votes, to get them he quotes Larry the Cable Guy.

“We just need to git er done.“, says Huckabee.
