Roanoke City Council moves one step closer to filling Alfred Dowe’s seat.

At council’s Monday afternoon meeting, council members narrowed the list of 21 applicants to four.

The finalists are: Rupert Cutler, Alvin Nash, Earl Reynolds Jr., and Vivian Sanchez-Johnes.

Council will make a final vote in the coming weeks, and have the new member on board by April.

Dowe resigned after being accused of double billing the city and state for travel expenses.
