Crash kills man in Campbell County

A Thursday evening accident in Campbell County left a Bedford County man dead, according to Virginia State Police.
Trooper B. L. Crews said at about 6:30 p.m., Hung-Yu Hsu, 36, tried to turn left from Patterson Road onto Wards Road.
His Toyota Tercel was struck on the driver’s side door by a Dodge pickup traveling south on Wards Road.
Crews said the pickup’s driver, Robert Worsham, 45, of Evington, and his 12-year-old son, sustained minor injuries, but weren’t taken to a hospital.
Hsu was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital, where Crews said he died at about 10:30 p.m.
Crews said no charges are pending in the accident.
