Police are asking people to be careful when they walk, run or bike a popular nature trail.
Police say a man was walking on Lynchburg’s Blackwater Creek Trail when another man asked him for help with his bike, pulled a gun and demanded his wallet.
It happened in broad daylight, around 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
People we talked to on the trail say that’s the time of day when not many people are out here because of the heat.
“In the evening like this there are very few people who would try something because there would be too many witnesses around.“, says Ward Dean.
The robber got away with the wallet and the $100 inside. He has not been caught.
