Passenger traffic at Lynchburg Regional Airport up

Lynchburg Regional Airport says they have seen an increase of 36% in passenger airline traffic in September.
The airport says at the end of July, U.S. Airways introduced lower fares and overall the airport saw a total of 10,445 passengers during September.
Thats 2,771 more passengers than September 2007.
The airport says the lower fares have caused more of their peak day flights to be 100% full.
Right now, the airport offers six daily departures, provided by U.S. Airways and Delta Connection.
