Lynchburg Regional Airport says they have seen an increase of 36% in passenger airline traffic in September.

The airport says at the end of July, U.S. Airways introduced lower fares and overall the airport saw a total of 10,445 passengers during September.

Thats 2,771 more passengers than September 2007.

The airport says the lower fares have caused more of their peak day flights to be 100% full.

Right now, the airport offers six daily departures, provided by U.S. Airways and Delta Connection.
